Want to meet the staff of Camp Daisy? Because some of
you loyal viewers live thousands of miles away from the Camp itself, it would be awfully
hard to introduce all of you to them. Buuuuuuut..... I've taken the libery of
writing down a little bit about everybody, and I've assembled a photo
album with a bunch of counsellor pictures! Oooooh... and before you go, just to
let you know, the orange letters in everybody's name tell how
"random" they are.
Hay- The director of the
camp. Pretty friendly. She likes horses and has 2 at Camp Daisy: Prince and
Dodger.
Boots-
The assistant director of Camp Daisy. All summer she's living in a cabin (with Hay?)
at the top of the hill. She also has 2 horses at camp, Buddy and Split, maybe?
I dunno. :)
Queenie- Since she's only 17, she's a
program aide, which means she gets to be the Trading Post Clerk. She gets to meet
all the people and give out ice cream and stuff like that! I got to know Queenie
better at Mother Daughter. I didn't think she knew my name....but I didn't think
Blondie or Milk or Giggles or Gerf or Thumper or Lasso or Sprite did, either. I
guess counsellors just gossip and talk a lot, and they're much more perceptive than you'd
think.
Chewy-
Pretty much the only guy at camp. He's a lifeguard, and he's really really
funny. I got to hang out with him and Elmo and Endless a whole bunch at Mother
Daughter since my mom's a nut and my sister's a freak. So much for Mother Daughter!
Oh well. Chewy's just all-around cool. He had not been in a real CDH
cabin until he went in mine to get his care package. When the counsellors did the
Backstreet Boys Skit thingy, which is explained on the BSB page,
Chewy was Brian and did a pretty good job of it...... although I must say, Brian can sing
a little better......
Milk-
The camp nurse. She gets to live up at the infirmary and save campers from the ticks
that would otherwise suck all their blood out. She's pulled out at least one of
mine, if not more. Oh, and if you go to visit her at night, she doesn't yell at you
like you'd expect... she just acts a little bit... tired. Now, though,
instead of living up at the infirmary, she gets to stay with Blondie in Ipesi. Man,
eveyrone just moved around on me! *sigh!*
Elmo-
The lifeguard who named me "Liv." She has an obsession with her Elmo doll,
she's very ticklish, and is the primary care facilitator of "Zokey," the rock
dog that one of my friends gave her. She was Nick in the BSB Skits. The
resemblence was scary. Don't believe me? Those of you who know her
can go look at the picture of Nick in the first row of pictures on the BSB page! Elmo used to live in Trails End with Hickory, when I
was there, but then she moved to Juliette Low with Pokey and Zoey.
Giggles-
Yet another lifeguard who does a really good Austin Powers impersonation. She had
the whole camp, or me at least, thinking that her parents were from the Slovotic side of
Checkylsovokia (or however you spell that!). She was Britney Spears, a guest on the
David Letterman Show. She did a great job of being a total ditz. Go
Giggles! Does she giggle? Oh, incessantly.
Zoey-
The Unit Leader in Juliette Low. She did the Hunter-Jumper horse camp I went to and
she's doing Cadette Music Art and Drama.... which I almost got to go to. :( She
doesn't like horses very much.... especially Shadow, who farted his head off on the
overnite trail ride, yet she's got another one coming up this summer! Zoey's been a
counsellor at CDH for 4 years and is retiring after this summer!
God, Zoey, wherever you are, I will miss you so much! :( She's really an awesome
person, very funny, and she tends to obsess over the phrases "fur real," and
"how funny," both of which Pokey and Snickers are now addicted to.
Thumper-
Thumper lived in C.I.T. with Pokey but she lives in Ipesi now with blondie. She's
the Arts & Crafts person. She's really artistic, she LOVES Cheese-Its, she's
gonna be some kind of interior designer, and she's really funny.
Endless-
Thumper's assisstant who used to live in Juliette Low but SWITCHED UNITS with everybody
else. Now I think she might live in Ipesi, but I'm really not sure. She shared
the part of David Letterman with Gerf during the BSB Skits. She's my dad's patient
(he's an eye doctor). (Sorry I had to add that in there... but it makes me feel so special!)
She's really artistic too! She rolls her sleeping bag up every morning, claiming it
will keep the moisture out, and she's a *Gasp!* Veggie (tarian)!
Blondie-
Ipesi's never had a more.... blonde unit leader! Blondie certainly lives up
to her name. She's got a million pictures of her boyfriend with her at camp, and
carries around a cute little teddy bear. Also, she hates it when other units wake
her up in the middle of the night. I didn't get a huge chance to hang out with her
during my res camps, but at Mother-Daughter overnite I was in Ipesi with her. She
really is a lot of fun, and an AWESOME counsellor! Go Blondie!
T.I.- T.I. I know only because we
(our Unit) played cards with her while Zoey was taking a shower. She's really good
at Egyptian Rat Killer and even better at B.S.! A couple weeks ago, she and Kat and
Lasso went to Minnesota with their troop.
Hickory-
HAHAHAHAHA! Hickory, if you're reading this, don't worry. I won't say anything
too embarassing! Hickory's the Unit Leader in Trail's End. She's vertically
challenged, if you know what I mean. She's really nice and extremely hyper, but
she's got a bad side that would make you wish you were never born! If my description
sounds wonderful, and you want to send her a care package, make sure to include Twizzlers,
Pringles, Goldfish, Pop Rocks, and FUN DIP!!! :) I LOVE YOU HICKORY!
Kat- Kat
is a big sweetie. She gets to know the campers really well. She's only 17, but
she's a counsellor anyway because her birthday is in the middle of the summer. As
Hickory informed me, she LOVES Fun Dip. She went to Minnesota with Lasso and T.I.
Bashful-
Sleepy Hollow's Unit Leader. She's funny, and tall, and not bashful at
all! Bashful loves to color. A few years ago she was my counsellor, and we
spent 3/4 of our spare time coloring with crayons. "How funny!"
Lily-
Lily worked with Bashful in Sleepy Hollow until she was "re-assigned" to Trails
End with Hickory. Her family is from Manchester, England. She's here on a
program called "Camp America" where people from other countries can get placed
in Camps in America! Although I didn't get to know her very well, I think she's got
an awesome accent, and all the people I asked said she was wonderful. Snickers said
she likes Oreos and Nutter Butters.
Pokey-
There's lots to say about Pokey! She's the Unit Leader in C.I.T., and the
Counsellors-In-Training director. Her obsession with A.J. from Backstreet Boys is
obvious, as she dresses up as him all the time! :) She was really funny in the BSB
Skits. She's been at Camp Daisy for.... well... forever! She's got this
African boyfriend... his name is Kevin but I thought it was like "Habib" or
something weird like that. Oh well, just goes to show you how good my memory is!
Snickers, stop laughing already. We all love her SOOOOOOO much, but she's
leaving with Zoey this year :( CDH will never be the same!
Lasso-
Lasso's a Program Aide and a wrangler down at the horse barn. She knows a lot about
horses and rides the most spirited ones (like Fiona)! She's also really nice to the
campers and makes an effort to remember names. She remembered mine.... I felt quite
honored! :) Thanks, Lasso, if you're out there, for making the Treeline Trail Ride
so much fun!
Sprite-
What can I say? Sprite's the Stinky Girl. (Hahahaha, inside joke.) Actually,
she's another wrangler at the barn. I didn't know her too well during Rock 'n' Rope
(my 1st week) she knew who I was in Hunter Jumper (2nd week) and smeared horse cr@p all
over my clothing and arms. Sprite's quite..... annoying sometimes. :) She hates
millipedes, too.
Grasshopper- Grasshopper was only
there for part of the time I was at camp. All I know is that she's really nice, she
drives a blue car, she lives at home with her 2-year-old son Cole, and she's a wrangler.
She wasn't even out there at Mother Daughter overnite.... some people!
*Snickers- Snickers is just plain
cool. I'd say she is a good friend. She calls and we talk all the time--
except for this week when she volunteered at camp without me!!!! She was a C.I.T.,
or Counsellor in Training, this year with Flowerbump and Gerf. When they put on this
Backstreet Boys impersonation show thingy she was Howie D. Talk about
WEIRDNESS! She's really REALLY awesome, and loves camp almost more than me.
When all the CITs signed the biffyz (old camp tradition) I got to paint the moon by her
name! If you're ever at CDH and you happen to pop in the CIT biffs, go in the right
door and look against the left wall when you sit down. It says something like
"reach for the stars." We're keeping in touch through email.... I'm sure
she'd just love it if you'd email her!
Just tell her Liv sent you and she'll love you! :) She helped me fine-tune this
webpage, was the first non-me person to write in my guestbook, and basically made up the
whole randomness rating thing in everybody's name. If you hate it and think it's
dumb, blame her. Snickers, if you're reading this, sorry I had to make you so
random.... it's just one of those Liv Things. Hope you
understand.... talk to you soon!
Flowerbump-
She, like Hickory, is rather short. She's totally cool, though! She goes by
Flowerbump because when she was little, she was obsessed with Bambi. When she saw
Thumper roll down the hill and into the flower bed, she yelled "Flower
Bump!" And then declared that she was changing her name to fit. Now, she
answers to "Da Bumpsta" and "Bumpie" and whatever else you scream at
her! She was Kevin from the Backstreet Boys when Snickers, Pokey, Chewy, Elmo, and
Gerf did their TV thing. She's coming back the week of July 18 to volunteer at CDH,
so if you really want to meet her go to camp then. Or, you could send her a letter!
That would probably just psyche her out!
Gerf-
Slippery when wet. In the BSB thing, she was "Commercial Girl" and David
Letterman. Gerf is really nice. She likes all the campers and sings really
well and laughs a lot. Although I didn't get to know her as well as I know Bumpie
and Snickers, she was always nice when we talked.
And so that is the staff.... or as much of it as I can
remember. Please email me if I've skipped
over you... I'm really sorry, but it's been a long day! *LOL*
